1] Quality Assurance Technician Position
Essential functions include:

Performs microbiological and chemical analyses of
incoming raw materials, in-process samples and finished products according to
established procedures
· Measures and monitors environmental and plant
conditions, including pre-operational startup while assisting with plant
sanitation program
· Conducts in house food
safety and security audits to improve plant and process
· Conducts daily GMP
inspections, employee training on GMP's
- Performs environmental, water and
air testing. Prepares and records samples for external laboratory testing.
Checks weight of finished products and conducts daily sensory evaluation
of finished products
- Calibrates, adjusts and maintains
laboratory and in-process instruments
- Monitors, completes, and maintains
accurate paperwork, keeps records and files
- Identifies and records
nonconformities, safety and quality related problems and initiates
investigation, corrective action and follow up
- Verifies compliances and alerts
management of any deviations from specifications
- Assists Quality Manager in
conducting product shelf-life studies, gathering microbial, chemical and
analytical data of finished products to establish specifications
- Assists management in problem
analysis, potential problem identification and prevention, by providing
technical support
- Maintains Good Laboratory
Practices and conducts inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment. Follows
company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Assists Quality Manager in creating, updating and
reviewing SOPs
- Ensures facility is kept clean and well organized
through daily walk through and audits. Communicates with the operations team
on deficiencies and issues
Successful candidates will have:
- High school diploma and/or six
months to a year of related experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or
associate degree preferred

2] Trade Spending Coordinator
Position start date: Immediately
Salary: Based on experience
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The
Trade Spending Coordinator position will be responsible to provide a "single source of the truth" for all aspects of trade spending and the sales promotions which drive it. The person in this role should have intimate knowledge of all programs running within each customer, and be able to quantify the spending each program contributes to total. They will serve as a consultative resource to the Sales Team and ensure that spending is being appropriately captured. Following promotion execution, they will utilize the appropriate syndicated sources to measure retailer compliance, reporting KPI's and assessing overall promotion effectiveness. They will also work closely with our Accounting Team, reporting on the appropriate spending KPI's to allow proper accrual for pending and future deductions to be paid.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in business, sales, finance or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of trade promotion management or sales planning experience preferred.
- Must possess extraordinary analytical skills with the ability to dig deeply into programs and to quickly determine drivers of sales and spending
- Communication (verbal and written) - Ability to succinctly identify an issue, suggest a solution, and instigate a call to action across various functions within the organization
- Must have outstanding Report Authoring capability – Ability to create reports which distill large amounts of information into a concise, easy-to-read and actionable document
- Must have the ability to quickly learn functionality of proprietary software used to manage our business (Trade insight, Nielsen, SPINS)
- Experience with a "middle market" accounting software package, and CRM packages a plus.
- Must possess extraordinary organizational skills and file maintenance
- Must be extremely accurate and detail oriented in performing tasks and cross-checking work
- Possess outstanding business and customer service professional manner
- Must have superior reasoning, good common sense and sound judgment
- Possess excellent Microsoft Office skills; have demonstrated excellent working computer skills with basis business software such as Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, WORD document, and Outlook email and calendar, etc.
- Must have the demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines with the ability to handle pressure skillfully

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promotion Program Management:
- Review all promotional programs entered in systems to insure proper dates, status and customers are identified and spending is accurately accruing
- Work directly with Sales Team to resolve any issues with programs that have not been set up correctly, providing them the necessary guidance to enable proper modification; Follow up as necessary until programs entered are accurate, and program status is appropriate throughout the life stage of the promotion
Sales and Spend Plan Communication:
- Communicate to Senior Management Team the key spending metrics vs. budget and sales vs. objective at customer level, and by area of responsibility
- Comprehensive understanding of programs in the system, and how much revenue and spend each is contributing
- Publish key promotion programs monthly, allowing cross-functional teams to understand when each program will execute, and the expected customer performance (price, feature, display, etc.)
Financial Reporting
- Report spending metrics in a timely and consistent manner to Finance/Business Analysis Team. These include spending due (accrued) for each program, actual spending (allowances + deductions cleared), remaining amount due, outstanding check requests and spend latest estimate (captures all spending)
- Maintain and publish deduction aging report, identifying deductions that are aged beyond acceptable period, and their disposition (awaiting Sales input, disputed, etc.)
Post Promotion Analyses
- Compare revenue and spend projected by Sales vs. actual achieved for each program
- Determine most profitable promotions based on:
- Spending required to support each program (dollars and rate)
- Total sales revenue delivered (cost per promoted case)
- For Nielsen and SPINS customers, additional analyses should include:
- Incremental revenue delivered (cost per incremental case)
- Comparison of pricing and promotion type planned vs. achieved (retailer compliance)
